... and I thought my problem was that I was a "Trekkie" ...
I took this fun test, and I found out I'm supposed to be labeled as an "Enterpriser." So that's why I'm always getting hassled by the English and Social Studies teachers in the lounge... all those sleepless nights wondering, "Is it me? Is it something I said?" Turns out the answer is probably: "yup!"
I'm going to console myself with the thought that "Enterpriser" has a nice ring to it, and is definitely better than "Confederate" or "Evil Conservative S.O.B."ENTERPRISERS
PAST TYPOLOGY COUNTERPART: Staunch Conservatives
[WM — wha'? me??]
9% OF ADULT POPULATION
[WM again — APPROX. 0.4% of TEACHER POPULATION]
10% OF REGISTERED VOTERS
PARTY ID: 81% Republican, 18% Independent/No Preference, 1% Democrat (98% Rep/Lean Rep)
BASIC DESCRIPTION: As in 1994 and 1999, this extremely partisan Republican group's politics are driven by a belief in the free enterprise system and social values that reflect a conservative agenda. Enterprisers are also the strongest backers of an assertive foreign policy, which includes nearly unanimous support for the war in Iraq and strong support for such anti-terrorism efforts as the Patriot Act.
[ed. — it's a fair cop, though I have my reservations about the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act — the name's too "clever," for one thing. I keep getting mental images of Johnny 5.]
DEFINING VALUES: Assertive on foreign policy and patriotic; anti-regulation and pro-business; very little support for government help to the poor; strong belief that individuals are responsible for their own well being. Conservative on social issues such as gay marriage, but not much more religious than the nation as a whole. Very satisfied with personal financial situation.
And now — Warp 8, Mr. Sulu!

I took the test and came out 'liberal'.
Interestingly (maybe), the blurb thingy said 'liberals' and 'enterprisers' are the two groups most likely to keep up with the news.
So there's that.
