WRY MOUTH EXCLUSIVE: Pajuante's Holiday Comfort Food, Part 3

In a continuation of what is easily one of the most popular exclusive series ever done here on Wry Mouth, we present another of Chef Pajuante's delicious and easy-to-make recipes! We are lucky enough, this time, to publish — for the first time anywhere — Pajuante's signature dish:

Pajuante's Ketchup and Rice

Ingredients
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • pinch of salt
  • a few chunks of butter
  • 2-4 tbs. catsup
Boil water, add salt, then add rice. Cook until tender. Drain. Add butter and stir until melted in. Squirt catsup onto rice, to taste, and stir. Put in bowl and eat.
Serves: 1

Oh, for pity's sake! I mostly object to the fact that the children are looking at this as real food. Do NOT make this for them.

Hey Dr. Bob, can I call you Robert for short?
Wait'll you sample Pahjuante's dessert dish,an old favorite of mine. It harkins back from the days of yore.
You take a half gallon of ice cream,a big ol' ice cream spoon, and carve out a couple of big-honkin scoops of
ice cream into a big ol' bowl.(notice the emphasis on big).
I can't recall the exact recipe but I think it called for Neopolitan.
Anyways, take the spoon and mix up the ice cream until it was a cold-seamless goop . The smoother the better.
       Then serve cold. Serves one.

This accomplishes three things: Excercise for those forearms, A stomach ache,A scolding from mom.

But you could avoid no. 3 if you only served it when Mom and Dad went to the Elks Club.

Although Pajuante himself does not want to claim credit for that "soft serve" delicacy, I think we can at least trace it back to one of his sous chefs; thanks for the reminder. We will definitely post it as Part 5 or 6 soonly.
