More That Which Makes Humans Great: "I Can Haz Cheesburger" and the Infinite Indignities That Can be Visited Upon Cats

Persons familiar with my religious orientation may be initially surprised that I would find the following literally hilarious. That said, it may be enlightening to know that I favor the interpretation of "taking the Lord God's Name in vain" as not so much swearing and cursing and the like, rather "saying you are a follower of God and an adherent to His ways when you are nothing of the kind and a spiritual or religious fraud."

Are you listening, Islam-o-Fascists? How about you, Benny Hinn? How about — uh-oh — me?

So anyways.

***

I Can Haz Cheesburger is a site devoted to folks trying to make other folks laugh and spit out beverages by captioning pictures of animals, but largely and lovingly, cats cats cats cats. Here's the original:

I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER?

Then, there's this; the one that slew me tonight:

JESUS CHRIST ITS A LION

And so the sidebar link is in, under — what else? — "That Which Makes Humans Great."

As the LOLCats would say, "thers moar funny pickstures." Many more. Evidently, cats are chief among animals that are really, really entertaining to un-dignify.

Don't know why. Just is.

P.S. Tomorrow, I may go back to grousing about politics or culture in general; it's certainly been a busy week for that!

Being the geeze I am, I did not understand the big yuk factor behind the LOLcats at first.

    Then I came across this.

At first I thought that someone had WAY too much time on their hands, then I saw that it was a wiki project, which means HUNDREDS of people have too much time on their hands.

Anyway, hilarious. I've linked to Genesis 1.

I've determined that 'kthx' and 'kthxbai' are the sign-off phrases 'OK, thanks' and OK, thanks, bye'. Said very perfunctorily, as is the custom.
