Wrymouth is an allegedly moderate conservative (ahem) trapped in his home state of the People's Republic of California. His areas of expertise include jazz history, mathematics,
baseball and hyperbole.
NATO Jones, aka Wry Mouth Jr., is our yout' correspondent, with areas of expertise including technologies, snacks and sleeping in.
Cogito Ergo Dem is an allegedly moderate liberal (cough) trapped in his chosen home state of the Republic of Texas. His areas of expertise include left-handedness, not-quite-popular
literature, four-alarm chili and irony.
Raymurgy is an allegedly moderate independent (ack! pbbt!) mired in his chosen home state of the Cirque du Florida. His areas of expertise include debate forensics, World Cup brackets,
hurricane endurance and elliptical riposte.
Laxsaltman is -- well -- there's nothing moderate about him. Trapped in the belly of Orange County, CA, his areas of expertise include sports (even hockey), twin psychology, astronomy and WW2
aircraft. Oh yes, and pithy comebacks.

I liketh it. And it is a Blogger template. So I would get my comment preview...:oD Howevurrr... I will need to read the link over again, as I am not interfacing with the surrealism in the way I would like, on brief aquaintance. (One subscribes, of course, to the maxim that quirkiness generally equates with an overall thumbs-up.) Yeah....that is way too convoluted for a maxim. But there are mitigating circumstances.
Nevertheless (and tangents aside)...I think I would miss all the wee hidden compartments and secret-drawery feel of the template as it stands. All the intricate layers of interesting stuff in a wee old typerwritery font. Sort of elegantly cluttered, but orderly at the same time. (Sorry - I am writing this under the influence of powerful migraine meds. But it was quite a nice paradox, nonetheless.)
Mayhap you could try the minimalist template out! I do like the Bodleian bookshelves feel of what you have now, so am not putting my oar in, or anything.
I think I likes the green banner better with the yellow text, but maybe that is jist a Celtic thingie. : ) Reply to this

Dear Rowan: it's not the layout (although I like the Blogger look better than the stuff my website gives me to use), it's the *content.*
:o/
The content cracks me up, as if someone spent 2 years of their life honing a website to make it feel as though an alien were trying to act human by blogging. I have always had an odd affection for the surreal (Magritte, Escher, Dali) and don't know why, but that website is definitely in that category.
Maybe I'll just let an Eggagog-type author do a weekly or monthly post here, instead of letting all the posts de-volve into mild insanity.
If they are not already there.
Laxsalt: the repetitive references to THE CREEPS cracks me up... and is, itself, creepy. Reply to this

Thanks for the head's up! That is indeed a very fine blog concept. I guess I would have cottoned-on, if I had read more than that one post. At least - I hope I would. One's sense of the bizarre is the one thing which I would hope would weather-well and improve with age, like some mossy old stone wall. Reply to this
