BEIJING OLYMPICS UNDERAGE GYMNASTS! : w-what? The Communist Chinese -- Cheating?

Somehow, I think that title's not going to work on the search engines the way I want. Nevertheless:

Here's a fun little bit of internet investigation which purports to glean official information that at least one of those cute li'l Communist Chinese gymnasts was underage by a fair amount. I kinda had that figured out for myself, as a parent, when I noticed at least two of them still had their "little child" noses. The suspicious gym duffles featuring Dora the Explorer didn't help, either.

h/t to the ExUrban League of the Great State of Arizona!

Well...I am less worried about them saying they are older than they are, than the situation in the Seventies, when the brooding concern was that certain countries were not fudging the ages of the bendy wee peeps, but actually depressing their hormones. One wraithlike fore-shortened girl, a big-time champion, appeared on a prominent chat show over here, a year after winning several olympic gongs. The audience gasped, as this six foot woman with creditable ladybumps and the suggestion of a moustache sat down beside the host.

There are a lot of odd tangential sports creeping into the olympics. Most bore me rigid. One I would love to see included, however, is the Indian sport Kabaddi. There ws a televised tournament in the UK a few years back, and it was truly fascinating.

Plesae sign my cyber petition for Competitive Eating to be included in the London 2012 Olympic diet. Fish and chips to be substitiuted for the regulation ox-tongues. (Gak!)

And Sumo. There should be Sumo. Then there would need to be Women's Sumo, (with more decorous cladding, of course.) I would be a really big name, and would be up ther for a double-whammy in the gong stakes, rushing from the Sumo ring to the Competitve Eating finals.

    Horses for courses. :o)

    Hi,
All you need to do is get a small notebook, and begin tracking each workout. Prior to entering the gym you will know exactly what numbers you have to beat. Remember, working out is all about overload.
