The financial system tied itself into the US economy like an alien face-hugger on the average citizen... So that if it dies, we die.

A lot of servants in government are just pointing fingers @ the opposing camp, instead of soberly assessing the situation and making painful but necessary adjustments.

It's frustrating, because once again the media are joining in the fray instead of sorting out the story. So I am once again going to have to study the history myself... Sigh.
