You tellith it like it ith, especially with regards to self-appointed organinsing types. There's a mother whose child in my daughter's class. This eerily pristine lady with wind-defying hair-flicks has systematically gleaned the names, addresses, landline and mobile numbers of all the other parents, plus their child's date of birth. She duly printed up this ghastly infringement of my human rights and distributed the contents to each of us in a pristine white envelope, with a visible OCD gleam in her eye. That gleam made me want to scone her lug, as it reflected a loaded sub-text: "you are a disorganised besom. But see - I am right on the button, and am happy to help you...with just a moiety of justifiable contempt."
I do not necessarily want to be contactable when the invites for yet another Sunday morning birthday party (the tradition seems to be to hire a cheap hall and invite the whole class)appears in the small one's schoolbag. I am then up against the 'Sunday school versus party' debacle again, but somehow, my prior ability to duck these events is kind of stimied. They know where I am. Howevurrr, I now have a reason to be grateful that my elderly mobile phone drops 50% of calls on answering. :0) Reply to this

Fixed it. But I'm leaving your follow-up post because I like the phrase "type tachcardia." --WM
