Silver Lining to Economic Collapse

Via CBS radio news (possibly reliable source), the story that both Democrats and Republicans are seriously considering shelving "global warming" legislations due to the economic collapse...

(A) such follies are hugely expensive, and
(B) alleged principles about saving the planet at any cost are — luckily for the reasonable among us — not really principles at all, but merely positions taken as long as they are popular and not TOO costly.

Now, if only I can figure out a way to get our reps to make sensible, environmentally responsible legislation without the hysterical over-reactions, even in the face of economic resurgence.

I think I've got about a year of grace before the world economy recovers to the point where "global warming" legislation becomes trendy again.
