More What We're Reduced to: Obama's Aunt hounded

Not satisfied with smugly condemning "operatives" and papers "in the tank" for attempting to ruin Joe the Plumer's life...  those same holy stuffed shirts now take apparent delight in exposing that Obama's aunt is living in public housing and is an illegal alien ignoring an order of deportation...

Fueling their indignation will be idiotic statements about flaunting the law, this illustrating how terrible our immigration system is, attacking Obama for how he handles his family, how he spends his money, any number of stoopid (spelled on purpose) comments.

They purposefully went out of their way to try to ruin the life of a 59-year old illegal immigrant living peacefully and otherwise in a law-abiding and productive way within our borders.  Just to try to make an opponent look bad.  They even are trying to make a large issue of the $260 she donated to HER NEPHEW in pursuit of the highest office.  She did nothing, NOTHING to deserve this invasion of her privacy.

brb, I have to write a check to Obama's campaign for $260.

I don't know how this country can take back a normal, civil, mature political discourse.

Dammit, I wanted to be glib today...

APPENDED: Wry Mouth here. I was going to post briefly on the same bit of stupidity, but Raymurgy beat me to the punch.

Here's my post in it's entirety: "Are you joking?"

An old lady who uses a "metal stick" to walk around with in Southie.

Citizens beware: are we all fair game to the media and politicians now?

You're plenty glib, raymurgy - good piece...

Same to you, wry - I'd rather they keep it to the issues for the last 72 hours.

Although I don't know why the next 3 days would be any different than the last two months. A boy can dream...

I stand corrected. I've seen a picture; it's a cane. Whichever "journalist" reported that she used a "metal stick" to walk with, needs vocabulary enhancement. Or a nomination for the 2008 Newspeak Award.
