You carry the torch now; you serve as the conscience of the majority, aware of the substantial minority who didn't get to see their men ascend to a position of public service.

Keep your man, then. You voted for him because of his agenda, his vision. Strive to hold him to it.

To the "also-rans" : your opponent won. Now it is incumbent upon you to keep the new guy in check. Don't let him run rough-shod over the political landscape without answering to you, the loyal opposition.
