Election 08: The Olympics of Democracy!

Election Day, and I am ideally positioned to lose in various and sundry ways... To be sure, the smart money is against me and my ilk on almost all slates from local on up.

And I am excited to get to it!

Election Day USA is like the Olympics of democracy, a vast contest in which large swaths of citizenry take the field, each a "role" player.

Indeed, given the makeup of the electorate, one could say the day is a combination of the Olympics and the Special Olympics! ;o/

So celebrate the day — losing has never felt so good (something Nixon (a close loser due to Chicago politics?) understood better than Kerry, or Gore).

And tomorrow is National Chocolate-Chip Cookies & Milk Day, our day of national reconciliation.

Wha?— it's not National Chocolate-Chip Cookies & Milk Day tomorrow? Well it will be when *I* get elected to national office!
