The trouble with circular reasoning is it's hard to shoo away, especially 1st thing in the morning.

Mr. Obama's election contained in itself a nugget of pathos: if the USA were not the "land of opportunity" we had striven to become, he would not have been elected.

Many voters, in seeking to goad the USA into moving onto the next level of freedom (whatever that is), demonstrated that we were already there.

How many realized, in their exercise of freedom to establish the USA's ideal class freedom, that they affirmed that Mr. Obama had been living in that same freedom for the last 40 years or so?

Then it circles around again...
