The Unbidden Memory of Popcorn Salt

When I was a kid we had a popcorn salt container stored up above the vent-hood of the stove in the cupboards where you keep the stuff hardly anyone uses. The popcorn salt container was there for years, despite the fact that we ate popcorn on a fairly regular basis on the weekends.

Despite sticking to the family recipe for popcorn, and eating popcorn less regularly, I have not been able to make the popcorn salt in my own house last as long as that one.

We will publish the family popcorn recipe at a later date as a follow-up.

Also remember the ice cube popcicles? Mom was a master of improvisation with makin' shit up to keep us happy cheaply.
    Good Times.
