No; that's not how it went down. We seem to know that Governor Sarah Palin said she thought the background was peachy, and — for many, many citizens — so it was.

Of course, the media (and PETA, doubtless) were all lathered up over what Mike Whats-his-face on the "Dirty Jobs" show would just call a job that enables the rest of us to lead a civilized life.
