A Demonstration of my Two-President Idea for Federal Government
As Mr. Obama selects a team of economic advisors that may prove to be a strength of his New Administration, Mr. Bush continues to prosecute the overseas battles vs. terrorism...
I've always promoted the idea of a bi-presidency, like we had back @ UCSB: an Internal President and an External President.
This is based on my personal experiences, I suppose, with the administrations I've lived under: all the presidents seemed to be either good at internal affairs (Clinton) or external (Nixon), but rarely if ever both.
Why not two?
Anyhoo — in this transition, because of the extra "gravitas" given Mr. Obama's words (I'm sure there's a good reason for this, despite his novelty appeal), we have a sort-of "bi-presidency" in place. See if you like my idea.
Meanwhile... Is anyone else bothered, as I am, by the Federal Reserve's panicky-jovial running around and yanking of levers, a la The Wizard in "The Wizard of Oz"?
"Ha ha! No — er — no problem here! Ha! Here — waitaminnit — there we go ... Um. "
I'm not impressed.
