Merry Christmas to all. My dissolution and reassemblage remains in effect... wondering to were it may lead, realizing there is a chance it may lead nowhere and then I will still be theotherguy* at the end of it all, but hoping that is not the case...

From last evening's 11 PM service, the most poignant reference in the pastor's sermon was to this video clip, from a surprising source for any sermon, Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller:



I find this a very affecting clip, moreso because Jillette is my idea of a good athiest — sound, principled, unapologetic, dedicated to intelligent, free thought and above all — joyful. Better a dozen Jillettes, in my opinion, than a handful of Dawkins'.
