... now I know that a goodly portion of this "spending" bill is actually $281 billion in tax cuts — a good thing. The less $$$$ put through the federal filter, the more $$$$ will be in circulation. That leaves a nice round $500,000,000,000 or so for new spending. You're welcome!!

However, here's a nice little scene that quickly sketches how such bills get passed in Washington. I will note, from personal experience, that even a lowly Parks District Board with a budget of about $1,000,000 annually, total, knows better than to run a business this way.

Don't hand me the tripe about "where were the GOP when the Previous Administration was spending money hand-over-fist?" because I don't care. I objected then; I object now.

The leaner, smaller government is the better government. Government waste is not stimulus. C'mon, Mr. President — you can do better than this.

And you'll need better advisers than Pelosi and Reid by a long shot.
