Umm... What's Wrong With This Picture? (Federal Governance Edition) Obamites Take Over the Auto Industry

Is it just me, or is Mr. Obama's Administration's handling of GM smell a little funny?

I mean: the federal government telling an enormous private company how to run its business? To the point where This Administration forces the ouster of the CEO of the company?

And basically instructs another company to form a partnership with Fiat?

Perhaps that last one was some sort of inside joke? "Fiat?" Hmm?

Note to anyone getting within arm's reach of This Administration:

Those aren't strings attached — those are transoceanic cables attached.

Yet another reason states and companies should be shunning any "bailout" monies.

The administration should stop dipping its toes in the pool and go for full-fledged socialism. Then at least we'd get a consistent position on economic issues.

Y'know... I'll hoist a cold one with you on this, and concur.

Consistency -- clarity of position -- is something I value on the personal level, and also the governmental level. Generally, since you and I *may* be on different sides of the "socialism" argument making the rounds these days, I will posit that, in Government anyways, the devil that you know is preferable to the one you don't.

Put another way, I don't even mind if the Gubmint doesn't see things my way (they rarely do)... I just want to know where they and I stand, so we can dialogue accurately.
