Californianing: Die, California, Die! Faster, Faster!

Whew. ...?

The revolution will not be televised, because the state can't afford televisions. Or electricity.

**UPDATE**

I haven't seen county maps of voting results look like these since the Reagan years: solid swaths of red or green. I take it as an illustration of just how out-of-touch the people of the state are with the legislators of the state, who authored the propositions.

Any takers on the bet that the legislators will now complain that the people just don't get it?

As for Gov. Schwarzenegger, on whom most news outlets are "blaming" for the state's situation, I see him differently: as a reasonable man caught in a blood feud between the Democrats and Republicans in Sacramento. I applaud him for trying to be moderate, but remind him this is California, where such tactics don't work any more.

Maybe they will someday in the future?

Maybe.

I see Ahnold in a similar light. It's too bad he's saddled with a lawmakers ostensibly on his side that hate his moderation and have done everything they can to bog him down, and Democrats that used to tolerate and work with him that are now counting down the days until they can get one of theirs in office.
